Michael D. Wandzilak
CEO · Principal Developer · U.S. Navy Veteran
In 1982, a kid in Fort Lauderdale got a Commodore 64 for Christmas. Within a year, he'd written his first video game. He was thirteen. Nobody told him he was supposed to wait for a degree, a title, or permission. He just built the thing because he wanted to see if he could.
That kid hasn't stopped building since. From the Commodore to bulletin board systems in the early ’90s to hand-coding HTML when “web design” meant Notepad and a prayer — Mike has been at this longer than most agencies have existed. He served in the U.S. Navy, came home to Florida, and poured everything he'd learned about discipline, precision, and doing the job right into the craft he'd loved since he was thirteen.
On July 8, 2008, he founded Wandzilak Web Design with a simple conviction: a website should be functional art — something that works flawlessly and moves people at the same time. No templates. No shortcuts. Every project custom-built from scratch.
Nearly two decades and 450+ websites later, Mike has become a recognized leader in SEO and SERP management, built websites for security firms, top chefs, software companies, crypto startups, dental practices, and hospitality brands. He runs his own hosting infrastructure through Magic Wand Hosting, works in Cinema 4D for 3D animation, and personally art-directs every pixel that leaves the studio.
In 2026, he did what a team of 150 developers was supposed to need a year for: he built HeyKoda.ai — a sentient-aspiring AI companion with 224+ tools, 58 backend modules, and $12 million in estimated scope — solo, in 28 days. Same kid. Same conviction. Bigger canvas.
“Mike is walking proof that computer science is not just a science — it is an art.”

Florida People.
No Nonsense.
We're native Floridians — born in Miami, rooted in Palm Coast. Down here, people are direct. They work hard, they say what they mean, and they can smell nonsense from a mile away. That's the culture we grew up in, and it's the culture we bring to every project.
No inflated timelines. No vague deliverables. No hiding behind jargon. You get honest communication, real craftsmanship, and a team that treats your business like it's their own — because in a family-owned studio, that's exactly how it feels.
Four Decades of
Building Forward.
The Commodore 64
A kid in Fort Lauderdale gets his first computer. Within a year, he writes his first video game. He's thirteen. The obsession begins.
Bulletin Boards & the Early Web
From BBS systems to hand-coded HTML — building for the web before “web designer” was a job title. U.S. Navy service brings discipline and precision to the craft.
Professional Web Development
Mike goes full-time into web development. Standards-compliant code, accessible design, and the conviction that websites should be functional art — not brochures.
Wandzilak Web Design Founded
July 8th. The studio launches in Palm Coast, Florida. Family-owned from day one. Zero templates. Every project built from scratch.
Growth & Mastery
The portfolio grows to hundreds of clients. Deep expertise in WordPress, Oxygen Builder, SEO/SERP management, and full-stack server infrastructure. Magic Wand Hosting launches. The next generation joins — Mike's son Michael I. comes aboard as Lead Designer.
The Brand Identity Era
The studio expands beyond web into complete brand identity — logos, print collateral, 3D animation with Cinema 4D. Clients like Strong Crypto call the work “not just a website — our entire brand DNA.”
Koda is Born
Mike builds HeyKoda.ai — an open-source AI agent with 72 tools, 24 backend modules, 54+ voices. $12M estimated scope. 28 days. One developer. Same kid from the Commodore 64. Bigger canvas.
450+ and Counting
Four decades of building. 99% client retention. Zero templates. Still family-owned. Still native Floridians. Still obsessed with getting every pixel right.
Small Team. Real Family.
When we say “family-owned,” we mean it literally. The people building your website share a dinner table. That's not a marketing line — it's our competitive advantage. We communicate without overhead, we hold each other to impossible standards, and your project gets the kind of attention that only happens when people have their name on the building.

Koda
AI Agent · 72 Tools · Never SleepsNamed “friend” in Lakota Sioux. Built by Mike in 28 days. She handles the things that used to take entire departments.
Four Principles. No Compromise.
Craft Over Templates
Every website we've ever built started as a blank canvas. We don't tweak themes. We don't drag and drop. We write the code, draw the design, and make decisions that a template never could. That's been true since 2008 and it'll be true tomorrow.
Relationships Over Transactions
99% client retention doesn't happen by accident. It happens because we treat every project like a partnership, not a purchase order. We work hard to build great websites and even harder to build great relationships. That's the Florida in us — direct, honest, and in it for the long haul.
Standards Over Shortcuts
W3C-compliant code. Proper semantic markup. Accessible design. Performance-first architecture. The things users never see are the things that make everything they do see work flawlessly. Mike learned that discipline in the Navy. It stuck.
Evolution Over Stagnation
From a Commodore 64 in 1982 to an AI agent in 2026 — we stay at the frontier because our clients deserve the best tools available, not last year's solutions. The web doesn't stand still and neither does this family.
